White Horse Forestry, Inc is seeking Professional Fallers with extensive experience in wildland timber cutting for the upcoming season. We are hiring for multiple roles, including Professional Wildland Faller, Sawyer, Timber Faller, and Production Faller. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 1,000 hours of experience operating a saw to fall timber, with verifiable work experience and a professional resume. Key Responsibilities:
- Timber Felling: Safely and efficiently cut down trees in wildland and forest settings, using professional judgment to assess the safest methods for each felling operation.
- Saw Operation: Utilize chainsaws and other cutting tools to fell timber in a variety of conditions, including rugged terrain, adverse weather, and dense forests.
- Fireline Support: Assist in wildland fire suppression efforts by felling hazardous trees and creating clear zones for fire crews and equipment.
- Safety and Risk Management: Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and your team from injury while operating saws and felling timber in potentially dangerous environments.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a crew, often in challenging and high-pressure situations, to achieve production goals and ensure that job sites are safe and clear.
- Maintenance of Tools and Equipment: Maintain and care for saws and other tools, ensuring they are in top working condition and ready for daily use.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 1,000 hours of professional saw experience felling timber is required.
- Resume and Verifiable Work Experience: Applicants must submit a professional resume and have verifiable work history demonstrating their skills in timber falling.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physically demanding nature of timber falling, including carrying heavy equipment and working in various environmental conditions.
